Steven Dunn Joins Pinnacle Aviation as Chief Operating Officer
Steven joined Pinnacle Aviation from Dallas, TX, where he recently served as Chief of Operations for a local aviation group. During his tenure, he led a successful campaign that secured the largest contract in the company’s history and consistently set new charter sales records. Earlier in his career, Steven honed his aviation skills by frequently breaking company records for customer service and surpassing sales targets.
Steven has a demonstrated ability to quickly make significant contributions, with a proven track record of driving profitable revenue growth. Within his first year, he achieved a remarkable 66% revenue increase in just the first three quarters. His accomplishments include expanding brand awareness and identifying opportunities to enhance sales, revenue, market share, and competitive positioning.
Though his aviation career began in geospatial imagery, his passion for aviation took him to the private jet sector. There, he rose through the ranks to become General Manager, then Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a leading provider of private jet services on the East Coast. He has an extensive background in aircraft management, facility management, charter sales, aircraft sales and acquisitions, labor relations, and accounting principles within the private aviation sector.
Prior to pursuing his dream in aviation, Steven was a Public Safety Professional in Georgia. His career there spanned more than 13 years as a firefighter, EMT-I and law enforcement officer. He served as a field training officer for a Sheriff Department’s uniform patrol division and a training officer at the fire department. When he took an entry job in aviation as an airborne sensor operator, he operated airborne sensors, cameras, managed classified data, and assisted the pilot while transitioning between job sites. Steven is an instrument rated pilot and a graduate of Clayton State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in technology management with a concentration in Aviation Administration. He also graduated from West Georgia Technical College as a Certified Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate, Clayton Regional Law Enforcement Academy, and formerly certified through the Georgia Fire Academy. He holds numerous certificates to include survival techniques, search and rescue operations, criminal investigations and crisis negotiations.
